Two of us arrived on a Tuesday night around 8pm and stood patiently behind the Wait To Be Seated sign. The place was busy...so busy no one acknowleged us for close to ten minutes, even though we politely attempted eye contact with every server that passed us (to no avail). Not even a token "be with you shortly" from anyone. Strange... We saw several open tables in the back of the place. Four women arrived behind us and finally an employee came out from behind the sushi bar and asked how many in the women's party (even though we had obviously arrived first). He said he could seat them "with no problem, soon". He then deigned to ask how many in our party. I said two and gave him my name; he scribbled the info in his reservation book and began to walk away. I had to stop him to ask (again, politely) how long it might be. "Fifteen, ten minutes tops". We'd already been waiting for ten minutes, so we walked out as he seated the four women behind us. - paul , posted 08/31/07 |
