This is cool and laid back vinyl shop located at 2128 Dwight Way in Berkeley,B-Side Records carries a variety of hip hop, old school, dancehall and r&b all on vinyl! Examples include mainstream hits like Terror Squad and Ciara, to local Bay area groups like Crown City Rockers and Frontline to rereleased clasics like Big Daddy Kane and EPMD. B-Side carries it all! In addition to new vinyl, there is and eclectic variety of used records, a dope selection of mix cds and dj accessories as well. The folks who run it are djs and are very helpful. They even do special orders if you're looking for something in particular. Every last Sunday of each month there is a dj battle sponsored by B-Side, UC Berkley's Students for Hip Hop and NorCal DJ Academy,where local turntablists compete. it's also great hub for bay area djs to kick it and converse about all things dj related.
