 I am in love with their olive foccacias even though they put a little too much olive oil, but they are soooo good toasted with hummus and sometimes avocado. Their vegan muffins are great, and so are the homemade olives and spreads, including their hummus. I do wish they offered vegan pizza, or the vegan foccacia pizza-like squares they offer in the Emerville one. Overall, I love it! - michele , posted 06/07/07 |

Wicked good selection of breads, pastries, focatia, and awesome daily pizza. I grab a cup of Joe and a cherry corn scone here in the morning alot and also pick up a few slices of pizza for lunch time. Only type of pizza is made each day and the selection of toppings is far from pedestrian. Recent pizzas have included: Artichoke hearts and red onions with a lemon thyme sauce. The best bakery co-op in the bay area! They make delicious breads, muffins, scones, pastries, etc. Their pizza is new everyday, very California, with topping you can't get at those lame chain places. Try the oat scones or brioche knots. There is also a larga variety of scones and muffins, or you can go continental with a baguette piece, warm from the oven, and jam. The coffee is good too, an inexpensive compared to other places nearby. My only complaint is that there isn't enough seating for everyone during the breakfast rush. - Anca , posted 10/10/04 |

Arizmendi makes delicious, unique pastries as well as great pizza and bread. It's an offshoot of The Cheeseboard in Berkeley, and a great addition to the groovy Lakeshore scene. They serve just one kind of pizza each day, but it's always vegetarian and intensely yummy. Bread and pastry line-up varies daily as well - my favorite is the asiago bread with huge chunks of cheese and onion - baked on Weds and Sats.
