what you'd expect to find in any working class city, right in the middle of san francisco. actually reasonably priced beers, pool table, porch out back for smoking and very casual atmosphere. white-haired guy who is behind the counter most nights of the week is the friendliest bartender ever. - Tom , posted 10/18/04 |
 Haight Ashbury bars get easily overcrowded & annoying. I make a point of avoiding most of them. But the Gold Cane sets itself apart as a fun place to be. The service is good, the prices are decent and they have a fun outdoor area.
