This is one of Oakland's hidden treasures. The USS Potomac has an interesting history that the colorful docents will love to elaborate upon for you. It was FDR's Presidential yacht and at one point was owned by Elvis. They give tours and have regular bay cruises, which are always a good option if you're showing off how beautiful the area is to someone from out of town. - Robin , posted 10/06/04 |
