The selected candidate will perform cell based activity assays to test compound efficacy which is focused upon GPCR signaling pathways. You will implement high throughput screens and profiles using 384 well assay format. You will manage assay and cell culture material and support team members within group projects. You will be expected to complete daily notebook entries and provide weekly progress reports. Participation in presentations at group laboratory meetings is essential.
Qualifications include a BS/MS degree in Biochemistry or Cell Biology. Experience performing cell based activity assays including second messenger systems such as cAMP and Calcium Modulation is preferred. Experience performing cell based assays in 96 or 384 well plate format is desired. Experience with liquid handling automation preferred but not essential. You must have a working knowledge of GPCR signaling systems, be detailed oriented and consistent in experimental approach. You should have excellent problem solving ability and possess excellent communication skills. You must also be experienced and comfortable working in a commercially focused lab environment.
