Hey everyone!
My name's Mirabelle and I'm a performance artist, poet, and writer from the Bay Area originally who has spent the past two years living in Berlin. I'm looking to get re-settled and find myself a place to live, either a studio sublet or a room in a house or housing unit with some lovely people. I love hosting events and coming up with unique ideas for collective art-based experiences. My most recent event was called Miss Ubahn and was a combination fashion show and pageant which brought Berlin's subway stops to life: www.missubahn.com. Before that, I spent some years making fairy wings www.fairywingsandthings.com and other wearable art pieces. If it were possible, I'd be interested in moving in as soon as possible. I start school at Mills this week so it would be great to find a place that fits as soon as it can be arranged. I'll be working on an MFA in Book Art & Creative Writing so I'll be on campus a lot during the day, at home at night. I'm very involved in the electronic music community (friends with Mochipet, Kid606, and the like) although I'm more of a folk guitarist myself (I also play the blender, the stack of papers, and the wind up robot). I don't smoke, but don't mind smoking. I drink sometimes but not so much. I'm gay-friendly (shouldn't everyone be?) and comfortable in all kinds of living situations but I'd prefer to live with other artists with similar tastes and schedules. I'm moving with a furry friend named Bandita who is very well behaved and can live in my room the whole time unless you want her to come out and say hallo. Please let me know if you know of anything!
Best,
Mirabelle J.
