Location Berkeley
Berkeley: I received/rescued two fairly large (5 to 6 inch) red ear slider turtles today. one is injured and lost some feet to a skunk attack. they will need to live indoors for life. I have other turtle pets but no additional tank space, so i rigged up something temporary with a plastic tub in my bathroom for now.

if you have a Rubbermaid stock tank or an aquarium with light and/or a heater, a water filter, gravel 9thoug I bought some gravel today)and basking rocks or a platform, or any of these items, that you are no longer using, please consider donating it to a softhearted animal rescuing family. i can pay something but we are on a tight budget.

OR if you are in a position to offer a good, turtle-loving home to these two sliders, please let me know ASAP. I can donate some trout chow as food - i as buying food for the turtles I already own when this guy who has been housesitting came in the owners do not want the turtles in their house. please no animal abusers or clueless people; i;d rather keep them myself than wonder if you are going to treat them responsibly. turtles are living things with feelings., which is why i took them.
