seeking part time personal assistant/care provider (SF Bay Area)

Bright, liberally minded, amicable woman in mid-life working on healing from serious back problem and secondary effects from the injury, seeks caring personal assistant/care provider for 12 hours per week. I am not in a wheelchair. I need someone to help with general assistance, household chores, laundry, carrying groceries, some cooking, some errands & who can drive a manual transmission. You do not need to have your own car if you can drive a stick shift. I am looking for someone similar to myself in that you have a genuinely kind, friendly demeanor, an honest open communicator, and a compassionate nature. I prefer a woman for the position. Previous experience with a person in your life with a debilitating condition is preferred. This is not just a task oriented job alone. You will be working with me in my personal home. I need someone who is trustworthy and with whom I can have a good sense of fellowship.

You would get medical benefits after 2 months. The schedule is fairly flexible. Need to find someone ASAP. You would be paid through my own medical benefits.

I am a spiritually oriented person. I don’t follow a particular religion though I lean towards eastern philosophy. I prefer someone who is also spiritually oriented in whatever way that means to you, which aims towards something beneficial for yourself and others. I am pretty centrally located in SF, near many transportation lines etc. I prefer someone who can commit to at least six months.
