2 hours of really good, choice music set to the 7 stages of alchemy (the process of transformation), in a consciously-created setting, safe to explore, amazing to experience. Grounded, fun, releasing, empowering, opening.....

DESCRIPTION:
Dance Alchemy is a freeform movement class featuring [yes!] really good music set to the 7 stages of alchemy. Alchemy is the ancient art of transformation, of breaking down and coming back together, of evolution. The carefully selected music (the kind that entices every cell in your body to move) and intermittent poetry evoke presence, movement, stillness, aloneness, relationship, and ecstasy, turning the metaphorical lead into gold. Within the loving, conscious vessel we co-create, you will feel safe to explore, float on the surface, go deep, be light, experience yourself and others...whatever the moment holds. Emerge transformed. This is alchemy. This is your dance.
Find your dance, transform your soul, trust your wisdom, and enrich your body.
We welcome all styles, all dances, all people...contact improv, trancedancers, breakbeat junkies, jazzheads, yogis, martial artists, construction workers, mommies, daddies, grandparents, ballerinas, gods & goddesses, hermits, performers, musicians, and anyone who wishes to dance together with us.
No dance experience necessary...just the rhythm of your own beating heart!
NOTE: Please leave verbal conversations, perfumes, worries, and shoes (other than dance shoes) at home.....and enjoy our sacred space!

carpeted side room for chilling & stretching...and
plenty of parking!}
This space holds up to 200 people...let's fill it up and shake the foundation!

Andrea Olson, MA, Min., is a depth-oriented counselor and movement/expressive arts therapist in private practice in the SF Bay Area (Fairfax, Marin, California). She's been dancing and performing for over 15 years and loves helping others find their dance. She created danceAlchemy and teaches it weekly in the SF Bay Area.
