Senior Scientist - Immunodiagnostics

The selected candidate will join the Clinical Diagnostics group and will be responsible for initiating and investigating scientific concepts related to the fulfillment of company long term goals. This position involves review and interpretation of scientific literature, laboratory investigations, project planning and interaction with other departments as needed to support company goals. Working independently, you will develop, design and perform experimental strategies and procedures for projects; conduct, direct and troubleshoot potentially highly complex technical experiments. You will also evaluate ideas which can lead to new or improved products or processes.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Immunology or a related scientific discipline or a Masters degree with a minimum of 3 years of R&D experience. You must be able to effectively communicate and interact with others and do hands on work in the laboratory. Position requires knowledge and skill in operating automated clinical chemistry analyzers with an emphasis in enzyme assay development. Candidate will have demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity and independent thought.
