Hello Tribers!
I'm seeking some neat-o folk to help me create an amazing living space. I'm relocating to the bay area from LA & have wanted to live in a communal household for awhile.
So, here's some ideas of what i'm looking for:
Space:
i'd like to try to find a warehouse or a house - ideally, something with a backyard. I have a dog, so i'd like to find a place that allows pets.
Location:
I'd like to find something in the Mission or Oakland. I'm open to other areas of the city, but i really like those neighborhoods.
Roommates:
I'm open to the amount of people getting together & looking for a place. This also depends on house vs. warehouse. I really don't have any preference to the gender balance, amount of people & i'm open to couples being part of the household.
Aside from those logistics, i'd just like to find people who are creative, but stable. Considerate, fun & respectful. People who can relax enough to have an occasional drink, but aren't bingers. I like to be around people who are quirky & balanced, introspective & good communicators.
As far as what i don't want:
I don't want to be in a living situation where people are stingy about over-night guests. I don't know about you, but it irritates me endlessly when people advertise for roommates saying "No overnight guests." I also don't want to be in a space where people feel like they can't express an issue with someone being around TOO much.
As long as the people are quality & everyone feels good about them, i enjoy with other folk coming around (except for the moochers & like). I like couch surfers! I like couch surfing! I like dinner parties, gatherings, shared art projects, shindigs & other sorts of collaborative community efforts.
Most of all, i'd like to share! Grow! Create! Learn! And have fun.
If you'd like to get together with me & try to find housing, please let me know. I hope we can make something come together - I'm really excited about creating a space.
And please, if you know someone who should see this, please pass it on!
Thanks for reading!

Mary Bee
