Hello friends!
First off, I want to wish everyone a happy and safe new year! We made it!
With the current economic recession/depression, it's been more difficult than ever to raise funds to support our Earth First! work.
You can pledge your support for Earth First! in 2009 by signing up for one of our automatic monthly donation programs. The programs start at just $1 per month, and last for a duration of 12 months. You can cancel your subscription at any time. If we had 100 people participating at $1 per month, most of our basic costs would be covered; 10 people at $10 per month would have the same effect.
One-time donations are also very much appreciated.
You can visit our support page at the following link: www.northcoastearthfirst.org/NCE....htm
We also have an affiliate program with Netflix, who will pay us $18 for every person who signs up for a free trial through the link on our website! You don't even have to keep their service long enough to get billed for it, and we still get paid! They do require a credit/debit card, and will charge $1 to your card for authorization, yet they never bill it to your account, so you never actually get charged for it. They have lots of great political and nature documentaries, as well as tons of entertainment films.
We have several other affiliates, too, and you can check them out at the following link:

We have Earth First! shirts, available in men's and women's, 100% organic cotton and made in the U.S.A.
We're asking a $20 donation for the shirts, with free shipping and handling.
You can check them out on the home page of our website, at northcoastearthfirst.org/
You can also find the sign-up box for our e-mail list at the link above, near the bottom of the home page.
After 20+ years of non-violent direct action, the old growth on former Pacific Lumber land is now saved, thanks to the efforts of many activists and the new owners of the "Humboldt Redwood Company" (former Pacific Lumber Co.). If it hadn't been for all the tree-sits, roadblocks, lockdowns, rallies, lawsuits, and perseverence, many old growth trees would now be gone forever, and the new management might not have even considered saving the old growth. The power of the people is real, and we just had a major victory in the forest, making our struggle an historic example of how direct action really does get the goods! Earth First!
Thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts, both materially and spiritually, and please consider supporting North Coast Earth First! in 2009. Happy new year, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Forever Wild,
Shunka Wakan
