Hello!
We are a queer couple with a gorgeous loft in Fruitvale and are looking for the right people to live with us!
The loft is a three bedroom, the walls of which we build ourselves. The rooms are small and windowless but the shared space is off the hook. We have a stage (yes a stage!), huge bathroom, tiny guest room, big clawfoot tub, a huge fridge, good kitchen, plenty of space to set up your own desk or workspot, or work on any projects you may have going. I have some aerial silks installed, there is a gorgeous bondage table upstairs, and the light in the day time is beautiful, with multiple sky lights and terrific sunsets. Street parking is ample.
We have one of the three rooms opening up on November 1st. Each room is $600, utilities included (except Wifi, which is about $10 a month). Couples are welcome to share a room - each paying $450.
It's a two story open floorplan (except for the rooms), so we pride ourselves on a great deal of clear communication, but we are all really chill and get along swimmingly. We're looking for queer roomies (ideally dykes, transdudes, or women-identified folks.) that have their own schedules and lives outside of the loft. If you teach workshops or throw small gatherings, all the better- we want to bring our community to us!
We are a 15 minute walk from the Bart, and a 5 minute bike ride. We're also close to Lake Merrit, a short bus ride to Mills College, and just over the bridge from Alameda. There are groceries within walking distance, as are restaurants. It's a great neighborhood- very bikable.
My partner is a queer bio-boy. I'm a queer woman. We keep unique schedules. He is home most of the time when he's not traveling- he's a sex educator and he runs his business out of the house. I work in the city 2 days a week. The rest of the time, I'm handling business here.
My partner occasionally runs workshops out of the space- and he always notifies the roomies well ahead of time. You're always welcome to attend the workshops or just hang out in the space during them, too. We also do throw the occasional small gathering- dinner parties, cuddle parties, play parties, or just guests in town. We DON'T throw big thumpa thumpa parties. We're a low key crowd in general.
November 1st is move in- with a bit of flexibility. Send me a message or email me at alliedmoon(at)gmail(dot)com for pics or more info.
Thanks!
