Intro to the Machine with Better Living Through Sewing
One-session class limited to 6 students.

Class description: In this beginner-level class, you’ll learn the basics of sewing machine threading, operation, troubleshooting and attachments. We’ll go over the differences in needle and thread types, how to sew a perfectly straight seam and turn corners, and you’ll get a demo of the stitches on your machine and their uses. You’ll make a basic pillow, and leave with skills to get you started on more projects! Two machines are available for student use for $5 extra.
About the instructor: All classes are taught by Diana, a patient instructor with over 30 years of sewing experience. Her work has been featured in Bitch magazine, and she has taught hundreds of teens and adults to sew. Email her to get on her email list for upcoming classes or inquire about private lessons.
