Hello,
We are an amazing group of artists, performers, visionaries and burners that have dedicated months in the making of an awesome production called;
“The Burning Opera Show, HOW TO SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE” www.burningopera.com .

The Opera is currently performing with a cast of 25 singers/actors/dancers and a 10-piece orchestra to a sold out 3 weeks show at the Teatro Zinzanni tent on the Embarcadero in San Francisco.
We are currently looking for a recording studio that would be interested in offering their time and space in exchange for amazing exposure and promotion tool and/or at a very minimal cost.
The composer of this rock opera is Mark Nichols who has many credits under his belt, which you can view at: www.thereallybig.com
This production would also provide an opportunity to be part of a high-level quality of a large ensemble of musicians and signers/actors in opera style.

We are looking to record the project with a studio that is interested to become a part of our amazing production for the passion and the exposure that is already in motion.
Burners or non Burners with a “Let’s Make It Happen Spirit!”

Our needs are somewhat specific, but can be also flexible and the band mixes itself very well and bleed is not a terrible concern.
-CHORUS: A nice medium to big room with a stereo pair for chorus. Some separation from rock band would be great but not absolutely necessary. We would record live and all at the same time.
-ROCK BAND: Upright Bass, Drum set, Organ, Piano (electric), two Electric Guitars (not terrible loud), Flute, two Violins, Clarinet, Trumpet, Acoustic Guitar.
-SOLOISTS: Must be in a booth and separate, two good mics.

A raw multi-track sound files to be mixed later on by us is all that we will need at the end of the session.

Mark Nichols, the composer will produce/conduct the session. You can also view his experience with engineering and production at: www.thereallybig.com

This show is a pretty huge hit right now and the cast is excellent. Our guess is that we would like a full 15-hour day to setup and record as many basics and overdubs as possible. The main focus would be on capturing a live feel and getting the whole show documented and beyond that, good basics would be excellent.

Ideally we would love to record in the coming week. We are closing the 21st and some of our cast have to go back to their various home states and countries by the end of that following weekend.

If interested, please reply through this post with your contact info or directly to Mark Nichols at mn@thereallybig.com

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post, please pass it on.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE SHOW... "It’s hard enough to describe an event as personal, massive, contradictory, multi-faceted, and ever-changing as Burning Man, much less distill it down into a musical, but the geniuses behind this aspiring roadshow have done the damn near impossible."
