Dalila Jasmin who specializes in American Cabaret, Latin Fusion Belly Dance, and Sword Dancing will be teaching Beginning Cabaret Style Belly Dance Classes starting February 19, 2008.

Dalila Jasmin has been Belly Dancing for 20 years, has a background in Ballet. She has studied many other dance forms such as Afro-Haitian, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Maori, Flamenco, Modern, Jazz, West-African, Samba, Afro-Brazilian, as well as Jujitsu, Bikram Yoga and Pilates.

Classes will start off with a simple yet invigorating warmup and strengthening routine followed by stretching. The bulk of the class will be spent learning individual Belly Dance movements, isolations, proper alignment, and finger cymbals. Movements will be broken down and repeated so that students will get a firm grasp of the basics of Belly Dance.

In a couple of months I will be starting a Beginning Belly Class Level 2, for people who have learned the Basics. Eventually I would like to teach Intermediate and Advanced classes, as well as starting a Performing Troupe.

The Adult Beginning Belly Dance Class (Level I) will be starting Tuesday February 19, 2008, and will be ongoing.

Tuesdays, 6:00-7:00 pm, at
DSG Studios, Studio B
564 Monterey Boulevard
San Francisco, CA 94127
