Job Description:
- Work closely with VP of Engineering and offshore engineering teams on application development.
- Participate in strategic decisions about technology, architecture and implementation of various components/applications.
- Plan, direct, coordinate and monitor development process.
- Set up development infrastructure for offshore teams.
- Other miscellaneous technical tasks whenever needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above in computer science;
- Passionate about entrepreneurship and programming in a fast paced setting. Demonstrated commitment to quality work;
- 3+ years development with PHP/MySQL/Ajax/Flash/Javascript/Dhtml/CSS/XML. Knowledge on design pattern, MVC model, multi-lingual support, video application. PHP caching is a big plus;
- 3+ years database management for MySQL, including cluster, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning. Knowledge on Oracle and MS SQL is a plus;
- 3+ years Linux system management, including Email/Firewall/DNS configuration. Good scripting skills, include Perl and shell script;
- Excellent knowledge on Web2.0 elements and its trend, good grasp of Yahoo, Google, Facebook's Web2.0 strategy;
- Master knowledge on various Web 2.0 open source projects, including vBulletin, PHPBB, Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, MediaWiki, OSCommerce etc. Hands-on experience of customizing and integrating the above products is a big plus;
- Experience in entire product development life cycle, including design, development, debugging, testing and deployment. Working knowledge about related tools, including bug system, source control system, project management system;
- Quick learner, ability to learn new technologies and deliver within tight schedules;
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and to work independently under pressure;
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
- Good technical documentation experience;
- Excellent sense of urgency and respecting deadlines very well.
