Greetings Altarists and Artisans,
You are invited to participate in Pagan Festival 2010. This year the festival theme is "Spiral of Life" and focuses on the turning of the wheel through the seasons as well as through the stages of our lives.
If you would like to do one of the four directional altars, we request that the design of your altar reflect the theme.
We encourage altars to be interactive if at all possible. If an altar is not intended to be
interactive, we request that signs are place on or posted near your
altar that would discourage touching if necessary. At this time, altar builders are needed for all the directions except for the NORTH.
The Pagan Alliance altar, Altar to the Beloved Dead and other non-directional altars including those to Deity will be on the paved area on the west side of the park. Altars in these areas are the choice of each Altarist and do not necessarily represent the festival theme. Each of the concepts will be reviewed by the Festival Committee.
Please feel free to contribute photocopies of photographs of the Beloved Dead to that community altar.
Altarists will be given a 10-foot by 10-foot area. You may request a table (6 feet long and 30-inches wide) and a chair or two if needed.
There will be no electricity. Fire and mechanical sound is not permitted. The Festival site is secured with our Festival Security,
however, The Pagan Alliance, the Annual Pagan Festival, and the City of Berkeley are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Please plan accordingly.
This year we are happy to have a new Altar Coordinator, Raven. Please contact her directly to confirm or get more information at raven616@gmail.com.
Thank you!
