small note..the smaller room is likely taken already, so the larger one is the one still available, but Im leaving info on both, just in case the landlord doesnt approve the other tenant.) Showing the room off friday!!! Open House!
2 Fabulous rooms available Nov 1st!
About the rooms: The first is a lovely medium sized room at the end of the
hall with a large window overlooking the back yard, with a sizeable closet,
unfurnished for $750. It is adjacent to my room.
The 2nd wonderful room is smaller, with 2 windows overlooking the street. Its
a corner room, and also has a small closet with shelves, and 2 doors, one to
the kitchen and 1 to the livingroom, and a lovely chandalier. (ok..so the
chandalier is kinda tacky...I think it originally was a dining room) Just adds
some charm to the space! The rent for this room is 700, due to the size, and
being off the kitchen. It would be ideal for a heavy sleeper, as we'll
probably be making some delicious organic foods all hours of the night!
(within reason and with respect to your schedule of course)
Our house in total contains 3 bedrooms, a decent sized livingroom furnished
with a big comfy recycled couch and a brand spankin new futon for the
occasional overnight guest, a tv i often hook my laptop to, to watch streaming netflix (currently no cable...dont watch enough...tho if you want it.....it can be arranged, and high speed comcast
internet. We also have a medium sized kitchen perfect for the health food
connoiseur, complete with a high powered blender, 10 tray raw food friendly
dehydrator, and a champion juicer! (as well as that regular kitchen
stuff....ya know..the stove and fridge) To top it all off we have a large
bathroom. The downside is we all share the 1 bathroom, but it hasnt been a
major issue for myself and the current roomates this past year. Downstairs
there is a large in law unit with some wonderful kind neighbors who share our
backyard (which also has gardening space!) I planted basil and other herbs,
kale, sweet peas, and YES you guessed it...CORN!
We also have a garage we share with the neighbors for extra storage, which
also contains a washer and dryer for your convenience! We have a driveway as
well for 1 (maybe 2) vehicles. I dont drive myself, so luckily we are just a
ten minute walk to balboa park bart, and 3 blocks from Mission st. There is a
walgreens and safeway within reasonable walking distance, and a couple good
taqueria's.
About the roomates:
Me: John, 26, gay, vegan, employed full time as a retail manager, and part
time massage threapist/reiki practitioner. Into metaphysics, raw foods,
natural healing, feng shui, drag and gender-bending performance art, natural
body products, kink, perverted humor, writing original song parodies, and
proving to the world that not all vegans are sickly and skinny!
You: Awesome roommate who cleans up after yourself and shares in keeping the
house clean***, pays bills on time***, communicates openly and positively,
vegetarian, vegan, or at least tolerant and respectful living with a vegan,
queer and transgender friendly, any gender, openminded and liberal, and
desiring to live in a harmonious, balanced, natural oriented home.
Rules of the house:
Natural cleaning products only. I have chemical sensitivities.
Respect noise levels, especially after 10pm.
No drugs and no heavy drinking. What you do on your own time
away from the house is your business, however we'de still prefer not to have
any substance abusers/drunks)
No smoking of ANY kind in the house.
Open communication of any inter-household problems.
Basically....just be respectful of your roommates and all is cool.
Unlike some other ads that say you cant do this or that
we're (by that I mean me) pretty cool here, and as long as what youre doing
isnt bother the rest of us or harming anything, its cool.
Overnight guests from time to time are absolutely fine. As you are paying
rent, if you want to have your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/date over once and
awhile, thats cool, as long as theyre not here 24/7, are are repectful.
Utilities vary (we do pay water, electric, trash etc) so it ranges from 30-50
a month. Internet bill is around 7 bucks each.
So, if youre interested, drop me a line, and we'll chat.
Room will be available Nov. 1st, with a possible early move in date late october.
Landlord may do a credit check, and you will be on a 1 year lease. Move in cost is first and last months rent.
To the best of my knowledge pets are not allowed, altho the neighbors
downstairs do have a cat, so I'll hafta ask the landlord about that.
I look forward to hearing from you!
