Reiki is a system of natural holistic healing which supports wellness through lovingly reuniting and harmonizing all the aspects of Self. Reiki reduces tension and stress, nurtures and balances the energy systems of the body, and enhances awareness. Reiki works on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Over time, Reiki can help you to transform all areas of your life to create a more positive, peaceful, balanced, loving, and joyful way of being.
Becoming a Reiki healer is very much about personal empowerment. And personal empowerment is about choosing to become a more conscious participant in your own healing and transformation - which, of course, also transforms your tribe, your community, your world...
Receiving Reiki attunements and using Reiki as a daily practice to facilitate healing and empowerment is likely to lead to: increased clarity, confidence, well-being, and balance, a higher perspective on existence, cleansing & purification of your energy systems, activation of your higher circuits/chakras, a deeper and clearer understanding of your life path, more courage and energy to make positive changes in your life, a more profound connection to your inner wisdom/divinity, more compassion & love for yourself and others, lots more laughter, joy, health, freedom, fun, forgiveness, peace, wellness, gratitude, inspiration, creativity, and Light in your life!

Usui Reiki Level I

Usui Reiki Level I is the initial level. During an attunement process, the student is empowered with the ability to channel Reiki healing energy for in-person healings. No symbols are given and the student learns to give treatments simply by "laying-on-hands". A standard system of hand placement is taught, along with basic guidelines for facilitating Reiki sessions for oneself and for others. Intuitive methods of treatment are also discussed. By the end of class, students are given the opportunity to facilitate their first Reiki session through an exchange with their classmates.
The Level I attunement also launches a powerful clearing and healing process, which tends to target the physical body, although other layers of the auric field also receive healing. Intuition is often significantly enhanced by the process, along with overall levels of conscious awareness. Increased connectivity to spiritual levels of consciousness, openings of the crown, third eye, and heart chakras, and increases in psychic sensitivity are also very common.
The Usui Reiki Level I class that I teach is a one-day course that includes the following topics/activities:
* Level I attunement * Reiki guided meditation * What is Reiki & how it heals * History of Reiki * Using Reiki with the system of standard hand placements * Using Reiki intuitively * Self healing with Reiki * Using Reiki to treat others * Reiki session exchange with other students
Upon completion of the Level I class, you will have all the skills, knowledge, and capabilities to facilitate in-person Reiki healing sessions. Use your new abilities to heal yourself and help others, empower your goals, and otherwise improve your life with daily sessions. You will have the ability to access and utilize this healing energy for the rest of your life.

Usui Reiki Level II is for those Reiki I practitioners who are ready to move on to the next level - expanding their capacity to channel Reiki energy and deepening their knowledge in the use of Reiki, both as a healing art and as a tool for transformation and manifestation work.
The Level II attunement connects a practitioner to a higher frequency of Reiki energy and empowers him/her in the use of three Reiki symbols. The three symbols assist a healer in focusing awareness on specific areas of concern, thus increasing the overall effectiveness of healing sessions. Attunement to Level II, along with the distance symbol, empowers a practitioner in sending healing energy to others from a distance. As well, the distance symbol assists in the healing of old traumas and helping expected events in the future to unfold more harmoniously.
The Level II attunement also launches a powerful clearing and healing process, which tends to target the mental and emotional layers of the auric field, although other layers of the aura also receive healing. Intuition is often significantly enhanced by the process, along with overall levels of conscious awareness. Some basic info on Reiki:
Reiki can be described as a way of tuning in to, and receiving assistance and guidance from, the loving Presence within you - the same Presence within which all of Life resides.
All beings have direct access to this Presence - it is the essence of who/what we are. However, many of us, over time, unconsciously close ourselves off to this Presence and our relationship becomes clouded. The Presence is still there, but a person's conscious awareness of it is diminished to the extent that they have difficulty tuning in to and relating with it.
Often a person reaches a point in their journey where they begin wanting to more fully know the nature of their being and nurture a conscious relationship with Life. Sometimes, this is a result of a person finding themselves in a crisis situation of some kind, encountering physical and mental/emotional difficulties that do not seem solvable through the usual means. Sometimes, there is little or no crisis, and a person simply feels a calling to explore their inner nature more deeply.
Reiki is one way of assisting a person in enhancing their awareness and healing their relationship with Life - both as it is expressed within the internal realm of Self and external realm. It is certainly not the only way, but it is a way that works well for many people.
Whether one chooses to utilize the gift of Reiki or chooses some other way of exploring one's inner nature, it is important to acknowledge that each person has their own unique path to wholeness and Self-realization - and all paths are perfect and beautiful in their own way.
Reiki is not so much something that one needs to be healed and whole, but rather a very useful and powerful tool to assist a person in the process of healing, whole-ing, and opening to a more full and authentic experience and expression of Life. It is an option that I highly recommend exploring if you feel drawn to it. The best way to get to know Reiki is simply to experience it.
The beneficial effects of Reiki include:

Reiki is always beneficial and can be used on its own, or in combination with other kinds of health care, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism.
Absolutely anyone can easily be attuned and trained to use Reiki. Reiki works through consciousness and intention, which are qualities that ALL humans possess, regardless of age, intelligence, philosophy, religion, lifestyle, personal history, health, etc. You do not have to follow a particular philosophy or dogma, or even be particularly skilled at healing to use Reiki. Reiki respects the free will and sovereignty of all individuals, so it can never be used to cause harm, either accidentally or purposefully. Reiki is even conducive to the health and well being of plants and animals.
