Integrative Chinese Medicine Apprentice Opportunity with Senior Practitioner

If you would like a unique long-term opportunity for practicing Chinese traditional medicine with a senior practitioner with 35 years of experience, please consider this apprenticeship offer. Misha Ruth Cohen--a doctor of Oriental medicine, a licensed acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and university-based researcher--will provide a mentored position in her clinic to one or two qualified dedicated practitioners. The practitioners at Chicken Soup Chinese Medicine work together as a team in an environment that encompasses the best of Chinese traditional medicine and work daily in conjunction with Western medical practitioners and other medical providers. The clinic offers comprehensive programs and consultations to people with chronic and life-threatening illness, including HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis (esp HCV), chronic viral diseases and cancer support. These are integrative Chinese medicine approaches CSCM also specializes in women's health, gynecology and fertility, autoimmune diseases and metabolic disorders. In your capacity, you would work with Misha Cohen to develop treatment plans, herbal formulas and nutritional counseling. You would also provide acupuncture as needed according to a developed treatment plan. You would be able to participate in research design, research management and research protocols. You would also immediately be able to provide acupuncture treatment with our sister clinic Quan Yin Healing Arts Center in a community-based setting.
