These ways of thinking create trouble in our dating or married lives and set us up for trouble. BOB KILPATRICK IN CONCERT AT GRAND OPENING of the Message Church at Century 12 Theatres:
The Message Church opens Easter Sunday, March 31st at 10am at its exciting --and innovative-- new location
at Century 12 Theatres in downtown San Mateo. The first of two grand opening events has renowned singer/songwriter Bob Kilpatrick in concert. Bob has worked with top names in music like Sara Groves, Michael W. Smith, Lincoln Brewster, Anne Graham Lotz and Andrae Crouch. He has also produced other artists, working with Phil Keaggy, Randy Stonehill, Sara Groves and Noel Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul &amp; Mary). Still, most people were introduced to Bob’s ministry through his well-known worship compositions.
The Message Church's new venue has received rave reviews during its soft-opening. "One of the hardest things
about showing up at a church for the first time is feeing like an alien. The Century movie theater is great because
it's a place we already go to all the time, so we feel right at home", says 25 year-old USF student Touré Clark,
"Plus, it's downtown! There's plenty of parking, restaurants... it's great". The church also offers a nursery and
children's class at an adjacent theater room.

Feel free to bring in your pop-corn, coffee and refreshments! Where else can you get all that?

We're all at least a little familiar with computer security, perhaps just from installing an anti-virus application on our home PC. Or maybe you've been one of the many unlucky people that has received a notification from one institution or another, letting you know that your personal information was stolen... (who hasn't at this point?)

But, unless you live in the world of security full time, you may not have thought much about all the threats that are out there, and more importantly, how those threats are changing. The hackers are constantly searching for new ways to breach your systems, and this creates a need for new ways to protect information while raising the bar on what every organization needs to be doing to prevent an attack.

Join us to hear from industry experts representing McAfee, Intel, and others, who will discuss:

- A brief overview of computer security
- Threats yesterday, today, and tomorrow
- What you should be doing, at a minimum
- The things you should be thinking about (and why!)
- What this means for emerging companies, major players, and investors

Today's fast-changing learning environment provides students with an ever greater access to the internet, social networks and computing resources. But doing old things with new technologies will not transform educational practice or outcomes. It is imperative that investment in technology not be about the technology itself, but about enabling students to learn more dynamically and enabling teachers to teach more creatively. We will explore how personalization, social networks, learning analytics and other trends are transforming education and learning.

The settlement of the Microsoft anti-trust case in 2002 was to be monitored by a team of three computer guys rather than lawyers and judges. Eight years later and the oversight has ended. Did it accomplish anything worthwhile? Was this a good way to enforce a legal decree? Are consumers better off as a result? Is Google next?

Dr. Harry J. Saal, as chosen by the Department of Justice to lead the the Technical Committee charged with monitoring and enforcing the Microsoft Antitrust case.
Dr. Saal has been a Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Network General Corporation since its inception in May 1986. Dr. Saal also serves as Director for several other public and private high technology firms including Borland International, Inc. and Globalnet Systems. He is the Chairman of the Board of Personal Computer Products, Inc. and AssureNet Pathways, Inc. Additionally, Dr. Saal serves on the Boards of the Saal Family Foundation and the Community Foundation of Santa Clara County and is the Vice Chairman of the American Leadership Forum, Silicon Valley Chapter. He was the founder of Network General Corporation and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer from its inception in May 1986 until June 1993. He was the founding Chief Executive Officer of Smart Valley, Inc. and served as its President from September 1993 until December 1995. Ernst &amp; Young named Dr. Saal 1990's Bay Area software entrepreneur of the year.

Big Kickoff "Love Happens" at The Message Church

The Message Church, in San Mateo, is relaunching this weekend, Sunday March 4th, and doing so in a big way. You may have noticed the big billboard on northbound 101 (right before the 3rd st. exit) featuring an original painting by local artist and church member, Lindsey Olivares, and with the big caption, "Love Happens".

Starting March 4th there will be a series of four teachings - one per Sunday - with the same title, encouraging those who attend to love themselves, love their neighbors, and to make a difference in their city by doing volunteer work.

The series will culminate on Sunday, March 25th, when immediately after the service there will be a San Mateo Central Park clean up, sponsored by the church in partnership with Starbucks™ Coffee and Espetus™ Restaurants.

This is the culmination of a journey that started in 2007 when about 10 friends had a dream of establishing a new church for people who don't go to church! Now the growing community has found the perfect place, with plenty of parking, right across from Bridgepointe Shopping Center and Target™.

The "Next Big Thing" is here and it is Mobile Social Gaming - the ability to play games with other people using a mobile device like a smartphone or iPad. This is currently one of the hottest areas for VC investment. In less than 3 years, companies in this segment have grown to valuations of over $5 billion.
What are the key factors driving this rapid growth? What are the trends to watch? And what can we learn from early adoption in other markets?

At tonight's event, Ron Czerny, Founder and CEO of PlayPhone a key player in the industry, will discuss the market and ecosystem of social gaming for mobile devices. He will share success stories from other more advanced markets like Japan, and discuss the potential in North America and elsewhere.

Ron's presentation will also highlight a case study of the PlayPhone Social Gaming Network application called "PlayPhone Orbit". PlayPhone Orbit will be the first true cross platform mobile social gaming network for smartphones globally.

Ron Czerny, Founder and CEO of PlayPhone
As founder, chief executive officer and board member, Ron Czerny serves as the visionary and driving force behind PlayPhone's corporate strategy. Czerny’s more than 18 years of experience in the games industry has allowed him to help establish PlayPhone's dominance in the mobile social games industry and position the company to compete and thrive on a global scale.

IMPORTANT: My 2 cents. Now that the Citadel has lost it's lease because the building owner fears that our life-styles may draw down the value of his property, and given the Power Exchange at 220 Jones Street only has two scheduled events each month, their long standing 3rd Saturday 'Fetish Ball', and the Men's once a month 'Spanking Parties' on Sunday afternoons and most nights PE really doesn't even get kicking until after Midnights why can't the Power Exchange share their space with the Citadel, until Phil and August can find something more permanent, like maybe with Kink.com at 14th &amp; Mission Streets. It can even be a real win-win-win situation if Wicked Grounds could relocate into the old bar area of that former strip club at 220 Jones Street. Again, just my 2 cents, but perhaps food for thought. -- The Power of Positive Thinking - Success-YES!! --
Hey guys, text Mike, he only response to text messages. ;)
Ok, I haven't been on-line much, after having held two garage sales here in Pacifica with another coming this weekend at 2366 Francisco Blvd. in Pacifica I have opened up a brand new store "PACIFIC PASSIONS at Barely Worn"" selling both new lines of sexy women's clothing and lingerie and well as having plenty of space for consignment of YOUR products including vintage and sexy clothing as well as other unique products found in upscale consignment store."PACIFIC PASSIONS at Barely Worn" is located at the site of the former "BEARLY WORN" consignment store which specialized on just children's and baby clothing right across the street from the Pacifica, California Post Office at 35 West Manor Drive between Palmetto and is right on the Esplande along side the beautiful Pacific Ocean, where sunsets are fantastic. We can even see the beautiful Pacific from our doors and large plate glass windows. I just got the keys a bare two weeks ago and starting to move in the next morning during my vacation. We had a "Lucky" Opening Preview on Columbus Day, October 10th, 2011 at exactly 10:10 am and stayed open until 10:10 pm that night. PACIFIC PASSIONS' new phone number contains lots of lucky 8's, 355-8888 in the 650-Area Code, (650) 355-8888, and the --OFFICIAL-- "GRAND OPENING" is set for 11:11 am on 11/11/11 and we will have live music in the street until 11:11 pm in conjunction with the Chi-Chat internet cafe and coffee shop right there on the corner of the Esplanade and Manor Drive at #5 W Manor Drive in Pacifica, right next to Former Pacific Mayor Sid Lorvon's office. We are open generally from 10am to 7pm EVERY DAY while we are setting up as it is difficult to keep people walking in the area from coming in and we get a lot of foot traffic here, I watch people every day make a bee-line from the Pacifica Post Office directly from their doors to our doors right across the street and we have lots of AMAZING THINGS inside that people love to come in browse and buy on the spot. Location-Location-Location is the key and we have the very best location on the sea, this Part of Pacifica is the undiscovered Pacifica to most people as this spot looks like a Pacific Coast Resort town. This is the area of Pacifica which has been featured on the news with the loss of two apartment buildings this year and last and where 10 homes were told down after they started falling into the ocean about 10 years ago, thus the views here of the Pacific Ocean are totally unobstructed. You have to check us out. We plan to make this a Success-YES!! To the Power of Positive Thinking. We are here to empower oursleves, empower our neighbors and Empower Pacifica!

A new website will be enabled as early as tomorrow: http://www.PacificPassions.US, with pointers for Bearly Worn and Barely Worn, http://www.BearlyWorn.com and http://www.BarelyWorn.com to www.PacificPassions.US, we tried for www.PacificPassions.com, but right now that domain is in an on-line bidding war. Stay tuned, there will be video from G-Shots TV on YouTUBE http://www.YouTUBE.com/GShots very very soon.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Now for the regular ¡SMACK! DINNER Announcement.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>==========================================

The **@¡SMACK!** DINNER, *aka* the **@Millbrae Munch**, for over 13-1/2 years and continuing our tradition of being the friendliest and I might well add, the must fun munch in the San Francisco Bay Area is again happening tomorow night, Tuesday October 14th from 7 to 9pm at Peter's Cafe, #10 El Camino Real at Millbrae Avenue, in Millbrae.

SMACKs are Pan-sexual community gathering and are open to welcoming all people and topics of sexual diversity including poly, kink, fetish, BDSM, swingers and alternative non-monogamous sex-postive life-stylers. We just wanna have fun! YES!!

Please direct all questions and inquiries regard *SMACK* directly e-mailto:[SMACK_Dinner@HotMail.com ] (emailto:SMACK_Dinner@HotMail.com) .

Separate checks are featured at SMACK as there is no main tab to divi up; so there are none of those uncomfortable embarrassing moments when the check comes in trying to fairly split up the bill. **YOU**, and *you* alone, are responsible for paying just what you bought, not trying to figure it out with all that discomfort which goes along with that, and there is no requirement even to buy anything at all if you just want to come visit, sit and chat! So you really can munch with us **free of charge**!

Simply just show up and enjoy our company as we have been called "The 'Friendlies" Munch in the Bay Area. Simply pick up your tab on the main front counter after our waitress, Nancy, leaves us alone during our semi-private discussion period. Please do remember her and and other servers good, and their kind and prompt service to us for over 13 years there by tipping her and them well. Times are tough in the restaurant business these days and she and Cesar on the wait staff really do live off their tips.

We are Public Transit Friendly too-YES!!

How to Get to SMACK:
With BART, Cal-Train and SAMTRANS stations located right behind the
restaurant it is even easier to get to, but for those driving the
restaurant has plenty of free parking and is prominently located
right on the the North East Corner of El Camino Real and Millbrae
Avenue in Millbrae just a short few blocks from either the
101-Bayshore or 280-Junipero Serra Freeways via the Millbrae Avenue.

For verbal directions or to place an advance order with Peter's, like for one of their
special Apple Pancakes please call Peter's directly via (650) 697-2434.

Looking forward to another fun **SMACK**!

				Location: Pacifica
			</div>
				<div style="margin-bottom: 1em;">
			Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - 7:00 PM </div>
					<div style="margin-bottom: 1em;">
Ok, I've opened the new store "PACIFIC PASSIONS" selling both new lines of sexy women's clothing and lingerie and well as having plenty of space for consignment of YOUR products, it's located at the site of the former "BEARLY WORN" consignment store for childrens and baby clothing across from the Pacifica Post Office at 35 West Manor Drive between Palmetto and right on the Esplande alongside the Pacific Ocean, we can even see the beautiful Pacific from our doors and large plate glass windows. I just got the keys last night and starting to move in this morning. Official Opening is Columbus Day, October 10th, 2011 - so that 10/10 bet 10am and 10pm! A very exciting and auspicious day. We will have a special rear area for the more kinky products concealed from the general public so vendors and suppliers please contact me via cellphone (650) 219-8188.

Busy upcoming weekend for me, Sunday, Max and I will be resurrecting Burning Man's Pampered Pussy Lounge taking these devious delights of "NO MORE BUSH", watch out Jeb Bush, from the Playa of Black Rock City, Nevada, leaving the dust behind from the green acres of Espirit Park, 21st and Minnesota from Noon to Noon. Looking for some more assistants to pamper the ladies also with massage, arm, feet and back rubs, and play to offer a selection of herbal and other fine teas so bois and gurls with tea party training service please contact me preferrably by ManicMasterSF on Fetlife. If you are not now on Fetlife, you should be, because that's where all the kinksters hang out.

There will be an Open House and Party at my new PACIFIC PASSION PLAYSPACE &amp; DUNGEON, 2366 Francisco Street, between Pacific Avenue and Brighton Road in Pacifica, two blocks from the Sharp Park Pier again this weekend from 6pm 'till way past Midnight in conjuction with the huge yard and garage sale I am having here in Pacifica on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 6pm. If you want to get ride of your stuff and have been meaning to have a garage sale bring it on down and selling it here, Francisco Blvd gets an amazing amount of vehicular and foot traffic, last Friday afternoon was amazingly the busiest, but we sold the most items on Sunday. This time I will promote it on Craigs List and other internet site as well as local signs pointing to the location. Vendors of kinky products will be offered FREE VENDING SPACE inside the Garage Playspace, my enclosed backyard, and the large alleyways surround my Barn to keep adult product in a more secure location. Vendors may park in the large driveway while unloading/loading good, but otherwise we reserve that parking area for buyers.

Thanks to all who joined us for a fun and spectacular 13th Anniversary SMACK two weeks ago, it was great to have so many of our old regulars back as well assome fun and exciting new comers,

====>>> 1st Tuesday SMACKs are held in the Banquet Room of Peter's Cafe in Millbrae,
=>>>>>>> 3rd Tuesdays in the Back Tables of Peter's Cafe.

>>>>> This Tuesday night we will again be in the rear tables for a more intimate gathering.

**SMACK Dinners** aka the Millbrae Munch, for over 13 years SMACK DINNERS are Pan-sexual community gatherings and open to sexual diversity and welcoming all poly, kink, fetish, BDSM, swingers and alternative life-stylers.

Please direct all questions and inquiries regard *SMACK* to lyen via
direct e-mailto:
[SMACK_Dinner@HotMail.com ] (emailto:SMACK_Dinner@HotMail.com) .

Separate checks are featured at SMACK as there is no main tab to divi
up; none of those embarrassing uncomfortable moments when the check
comes, YOU, and you alone, are responsible for paying just what you
bought, not trying to figure it out with all that discomfort which
goes with that, and there is no requirement to buy anything at all!

Simply just show up and enjoy our company. Simply pick up your tab on
the main front counter after our waitress, Nancy, leaves us alone
during our semi-private discussion period, please remember her and
and other servers good and kind service by tipping her well. Times
are tough in the restaurant business these days and she and Cesar on
the wait staff really do live off their tips.

For verbal directions or to place an advance, like for one of their
special Apple Pancakes please call Peter's directly via (650) 697-2434.

Revisit this stunning "garden of earthly delights" with Ken Schoppet, the Los Altos based landscape architect who designed the garden. Learn how existing plantings were enlarged to suit the scale of the renovated house, specific plants hand-selected, and a color palette carefully chosen by the owners to achieve a sense of European elegance and history here in California. Because this class is held in a private garden, the size of the class is strictly limited and there will be no walkins.
The address of the garden will be given upon registration.

Ken Schoppet holds a B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture from U. C. Davis. He has been in private practice since 1988, with projects in Palo Alto, Los Altos, Woodside, Atherton, Portola Valley, and Carmel. He is best known for his residential design work, primarily on large estates. He has also done numerous commercial projects including the Main Entry Garden and Winner's Circle at the legendary Bay Meadows Race Track. His golf course design can be seen at Los Altos Golf and Country Club, La Rinconada Country Club,, and Saratoga Golf and Country Club. Ken lives in Los Altos with his wife and two young sons.

For verbal directions or to place an advance, like for one of their
special Apple Pancakes please call Peter's directly via (650) 697-2434.

MORE INFO: http://www.gamblegarden.org

The Gamble Garden Spring Tour has been known for 25 years as a "must see" annual tour of private gardens in Palo Alto. Consistently selective and innovative, Gamble takes great pride in introducing this year's collection
of gardens that embody the diversity of garden use in Palo Alto.

"Outdoor Living in Palo Alto - Fine Landscape Design for California Lifestyles" presents five stunning gardens designed for the use and pleasure of each owner. The garden locations span Crescent Park and Old Palo Alto, circling back to Gamble Garden itself, which will be a concert of activities, food, music, and shopping.

There are gardens for elegant entertaining, gardens for art and antiquities, gardens for sports and romping, and gardens for multi-generational family events. These gardens are sure to please the eye and stimulate personal design ideas for both large and small gardens and gardeners. Synergistic relationships between owners and landscape designers are well represented, as well as synergies between design styles and outdoor living essentials within the same garden.

				The Oshman Family JCC presents:

Unzip Your Genes: Jewish Genetic Awareness

Thursday, April 28, 7:00pm-9:00pm, Palo Alto

MORE INFO: http://www.paloaltojcc.org/arts

Because Ashkenazi Jews (Jews of Eastern European &amp; Russian origin) have a significantly higher incidence for many genetic disorders than the general population, it's important for all Jews who intend to have children to understand the genetic implications.

The Jewish community did a phenomenal job in educating themselves about Tay-Sachs and the advent of carrier testing in the 1970s and 80s. But somewhere along the way they forgot to continue that educational process as the list of "Jewish disorders" increased beyond previous understanding.

Unzip Your Genes will combine a biology lesson, a genetics primer and a review of Jewish migration over the past 2000 years. The panel will explore the diagnosis, management and treatment of Ashkenazi Jewish genetic conditions with a focus on the most common disorder - Goucher Disease. Though lesser known than Tay-Sachs disease, Gaucher disease is two and half times more prevalent within the Ashkenazi population.

PANELISTS

Seymour Packman, PhD, Professor of Pediatrics at the UCSF School of Medicine. He directs the American Board of Medical Genetics Training Program at UCSF and is Director of the Biochemical Genetics Service of that Medical Center. Dr. Packman also serves as Director of the UCSF-Stanford Lysosomal Disease Center and the UCSF Neurometabolic Program and Clinics.

Gary S. Frohlich, MS, a Certified Genetics Counselor &amp; Patient Education Liaison for Genzyme Corporation. He lectures widely and has authored numerous articles on Goucher disease research, testing and prevention. In addition to understanding the medical aspects of Gaucher disease, Mr. Frohlich is an expert on how that disease and other disorders came to affect the Ashkenazi Jewish community.

Rabbi David Booth
Congregation Kol Emeth, Palo Alto
Has a 14 year old son living with Gaucher's Disease

Rachel Koff
Genetic Counseling Student, CSU/UCSF Genetic Counseling Program

About the Event:
Design has played a vital role in the growth of Silicon Valley, but its origins are shrouded in obscurity. Thirty years ago the "Bay Area design" was not on anybody's map; today there are more design professionals working within a fifty-mile radius of where you are sitting than anywhere else on the planet. How did this happen? In this talk Barry will discuss the formation and transformation of a professional design practice, assess its current state, and perhaps offer a few speculations about its future trajectory.

About the Speaker:
Barry Katz is Professor of Humanities and Design at the California College of the Arts and Consulting Professor in the Design Division at Stanford University. He is the author of three books and has been editor of the Design Book Review; his essays on the history and philosophy of design have appeared in many academic, professional and popular journals including Design Issues, I.D. Magazine, Metropolis and Dwell. Barry is an IDEO fellow, an influential thinker and practitioner who contributes to its' culture of innovation. He is currently at work on a history of Silicon Valley design. Barry believes that there is no design problem that does not have its roots in history.

The Evolution of the Gardens at Stanford Medical Center with Katsy Swan

Sunday, March 20, 2:00pm-4:00pm, Palo Alto

MORE INFO: http://www.gamblegarden.org

The gardens at Stanford Medical Center are the spectacular result of two decades of collaboration between Katsy Swan and Helen Bing, who met while Katsy was doing the Hoover House gardens in the late '70's. The aesthetic goal is to create beautiful and contemplative spaces for patients, their families, and the hospital staff; the demands of building such gardens in and around a complex of industrial buildings places firm constraints on how this goal can be achieved. Katsy Swan will show us how these gardens came to be and will discuss the coming hospital expansion plans and their likely impact. On March 29 and 31 Katsy will conduct private walking tours of the gardens, the price is included in the class, you will register for the tour at the March 20 class.

Katsy Swan has lived and worked in Palo Alto since 1964, and has evolved from flower designer to landscape designer. After going back to U. C. Berkeley for her landscape architecture degree, she has designed many local residential landscapes, an aesthetic she has carried into her work on the Stanford Hospital. Katsy has also designed a garden court yard for UCSF and the Earth Sciences Courtyard at Stanford University.

Do you see yourself as Jewish, half-Jewish, part Jewish, Jew-ish? Were you raised as a Jew, a Christian, a Hindu, some of this and that?

We are looking for people who have one Jewish parent and would like to talk about their experience, share their stories, their questions, their wisdom.

What was good? What was not so good? Will you try to duplicate your parents' path? What would you like to ask of or tell to the "organized" Jewish community?

We will come together to discuss our shared experiences as well as our differences. What we want from life now and how we are going about making that happen.

The Camellias at Gamble Garden with Barbara Tuffli

Thursday, March 3, 2:00pm-4:00pm, Palo Alto

MORE INFO: http://www.gamblegarden.org

The camellia collection at Gamble Garden began as the private passion of Miss Elizabeth Gamble and is now part of the West Coast Camellia Trail, sponsored by the American Camellia Society. As a part of our Heritage Plant Project, Gamble has acquired many of the original trees that have disappeared over the years, using old receipts carefully preserved by Miss Gamble. Join us as Barbara Tuffli talks about the history of camellias, how Miss Gamble acquired her plants in the early 20th century, and about the many more varieties we have today through hybridization. We will then walk through the gardens and visit the heritage plants, both original trees and recent historically accurate replacements.

Barbara Tuffli is a nationally known lecturer and consultant on camellia history, culture and care. She coordinated the successful transfer of almost 300 mature camellias from a Woodside estate to the San Francisco Botanical Garden in 2005 and 2006. Barbara, a major collector of camellias in her own right, was the president of the American Camellia Society from 2007 - 2009, during which time she launched the Camellia Trail.
