The Zumba Program invites people to experience the healthy, social, rejuvenating benefits of dance. Join the one-hour session of exercise in a dance-party atmosphere and benefit Alameda’s non-profit art center Rhythmix Cultural Works (RCW), Sunday, Aug. 19 from 2 to 3 p.m. Instructor Lynda Penados will lead the Zumbathon with help from special guests. Penados will share her experience in performance and teaching movement. Zumba’s easy to learn moves help keep dancers limber and healthy while listening to great music. Donations of $10 to $20 suggested with all proceeds benefiting RCW. Special Event Tickets available through Givegoods.org – Get Rewards by Donating to Rhythmix!

Lynda’s experience teaching Zumba classes at Rhythmix has been so wildly successful, she suggested creating a new event to introduce the public to both Zumba and RCW. The result is the upcoming Zumbathon that will not only allow people to explore the health benefits of practicing Zumba, but to see just how much RCW brings to Alameda and the Greater Bay Area.
