Vendors and Volunteers Wanted for Super Heroes Festival
The SuperHero Street Fair
Sat. July 25, 2009
1pm til Midnight
Recognizing people and organizations throughout the Bayview Community for their outstanding contribution the arts and/or community action. This vibrant part neighborhood of San Francisco is home to many visual artists, music performers and community activists. These people call Bayview home, either working or living here. We wish to provide a platform to showcase the achievements of these people, and enjoy a day of celebration and community.
There will be art exhibits (with the participation of Hunter's Point Open Studios), live theatre and poetry, live and electronic music, food, and an awards ceremony recognizing specific individuals and organizations for their contribution. Ceremonies will include the Mayoral proclamation of "SuperHero Day" in San Francisco.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit local organizations for their outstanding achievement. The organizers of this event will also assist in cleaning up the area, a spot often neglected but deserving of attention. The organizers are from the neighborhood, having lived there for over 10 years, and WE LIKE IT! Bayview has been improving over time, with the assistance of the city, private and public organizations, and individuals. We wish to continue that process.
All the best,
Laird Archer
