Video Artist III (pronounced three)To Showcase A One Night Only Multi-Media Extravaganza
SUPPER VISION
A Fusion of Film, Fashion and Live Performance at supperclub san francisco
April 3, 2008 - pre-show Pajama party at 8:30 pm and main show at 11 pm
SAN FRANCISCO ― March 6, 2008―Prolific San Francisco video artist known simply as iii (pronounced three) will be presenting SUPPER VISION, a multi-media showcase event of film and video infused live performances, art and fashion for one night only on Thursday, April 3 at supperclub san francisco. Prior to the main event show at 11 pm in supperclub’s all white bi-level bed-filled dining room (La Salle Neige), renowned Burning Man theme camp, Comfort & Joy, will be hosting and pampering guests at a Pajama Lounge pre-party in supperclub’s more intimate Salle Prive starting at 8:30 pm, where crowd favorite drag performer Bebe Sweetbriar and friends will warm guests up with a lounge show.
Performers and artists include: III, Christy purgington Sweetbriar, Raya Light, Ginger Snap, Trapezist M. Lee of Etherealarts, Ambrosia Salad and the House of Salad, HistErica!, Venus Loops trumpet loop art, Cookie Dough, Dj’s Pee Play , KJ, Dr. Weazel and interactive live/video fashion show with designs from Baby Monster and Alchemistry SF.
When asked about the upcoming show and what makes it special, III replies, “I think I have a unique ability, utilizing the video, to create an environment and live interaction through performance in ways that haven’t really been done before; this also brings a whole new dimension to the performances. Each performance is it’s own unique presentation and each uses the video medium differently, often times in surprising ways. It is so thrilling for me to see how my video collaboration serves to catapult all of these talented artists to a whole new level of artistic expression.”
