SF/The City Slam --SUNDAY, Mar 9th.

----Well friends, SF slam is continuing striding to
greatness. I'm absolutely lovin all of the new poets
hittin our stage. Every month(2nd sun) we have fresh
blood not only slamin but winnin toooo!!:) As of this
month we are officially head long into "SLAM SEASON"
Now is the time to get in and re-up on those slam
points that walk poets onto the SF FINALS Stage. The
San Francisco City Slam & Experimental Mic Finals
will be held in JUNE this year at The Voice Factory
Theater(1519 mission,SF).
----Wonderful News! We will be featuring Shappy &
Cristin Aptowicz from NYC (2nd Sunday) March 9th!!
SHAPPY has won 2 National Forensics titles, he's
appeared on CNN, he's toured with Lollapalooza, and
he has 2 books one of which won a Firecracker award
for best poetry in 2000. Sappy is a National Poetry
Slam favorite and definitely one of the greatest
comedic poets I've seen thus far (in the last
10 yrs.) HE IS A HUG DEAL across the country and
his work is well known and respected amongst
slammers. CRISTIN is founder and host of the 3X
National Poetry Slam Championship venue -NYC-Urbana!
Cristin has authored 4 books, preformed around the
world with extended residencies in Australia, and a
commission for NYC's Chamber Dance ballet company.
Cristin is a wonderful gift to the poetry world and
deserves nothin but Bay Love:)
