Greetings fellow poi enthusiasts,
Spring is upon us and the sun is shining into the evening. The ongoing poi class is now on Tuesdays at the San Lorenzo Park (along the river between Water, Ocean, Soquel, and Front).

If you can not make this time, inquire about private and small group classes.
Day: Tuesdays
Time: 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm
Location: San Lorenzo Park (in the field)
Price: $12/class, drop-in only (trades are available upon request)
As before, the class will be open to all levels, whether you are an absolute beginner, advanced spinner, or anyone in between.
Some of the things we will focus on are:
- Foundational moves and their variations.
- Short choreographies where we will practice using transitions and combinations of moves.
- Ways of traveling across a space with our poi in motion.
- Mechanics and aesthetics of poi spinning.
- Incorporating poi skills with movement and dance.
Now that we are outside, there may be opportunities to light up at the end of class for those who wish to and feel they are ready. We will have to figure out the rules and regulations of the park before we do this. Otherwise fire university meets most weeks at the west cliff lighthouse.
We are also open to requests and suggestions about location and class content
