The Groove Garden Presents:
DJ Dragonfly
DJ Neptune
DJ Chlorophil
plus the North Bay book release party of festival photographer Kyer Wiltshire's Tribal Revival!

Greetings Friends of the Inimitable Bay Area Dance Scene:

This Saturday, November 7th The Groove Garden coagulates all that which percolated in the summer's festival scene...that revived sense of freedom, freakdom and beat-dom...to a dance-ecstatic head!!!

The Line Up Tonight:

DJ Neptune: DJing in years numbering longer than most caterpillars have legs, his DJ sets are equally metamorphic. Having cut his teeth and founded his reputation in the robust music scene of Austin, Tx, he took the leap to the Bay Area to deliver his message to the conscious underground dance scene. Since his arrival he has founded the very successful SF-based weekly Beat Church while being courted by producers far and wide to spin at some of the most reputable West Coast festivals and gatherings. While he cannot be associated with just any one genre, his taste and depth of just about any style of dance music - dub, house (in all its varieties), breaks, downtempo, global electronica - is extraordinarily good, and above all, relevant to a dance scene that requires masterful consciousness in tempo changes, textural treatment, harmonic journeying and rhythmic complexity vs. simplicity.

DJ Dragonfly:
Stew on this: Dragonfly ignites the primordial fire of creativity in you while taking a can opener to the dancefloor and releasing deep chunky grooves fortified with hearty helpings of mashed up madness, global spices, cosmic vibeness and tops it with tasty tribal juices!

DJ Chlorophil (interchill/six degrees records)
www.bayareafolks.tk
From weightless ambience to the squishy decent onto squidgy downtempo Chlorophil is the Bay Area's masterful guide and chillspace helmsman to send you on an aimless trajectory, one where you decalibrate your weekend-self from your working-self and horizontally settle into the nullibiety between existence and experience. Futurecosmic, psy-downtempo, ethnochill, its all there for your one-way migration to neural oscillations.

THE EXTRA SPECIAL PARTS TONIGHT:
"TRIBAL REVIVAL" Book release party at Groove Garden!!!
www.tribalrevivalbook.com

America's preeminent festival photographer, Kyer Wiltshire, has JUST produced the most anticipated book of the west coast festival scene "TRIBAL REVIVAL". At Groove Garden tonight we feature some of the very first copies for review and for sale ($49.95) while all evening we will project images from the pages this amazing and wonderful social documentary. Come and enjoy a photographic journey of festival magic!

"Tribal Revival uncovers the stunningly beautiful bodies and wildly creative souls of California's visionary festival culture. Kyer Wiltshire's camera exposes the painted, masked and costumed character of each festival, as his panoramic views document the dramatic spectacle. Erik Davis' essay digs into the historic context and articulates the mythic depth of the festival phenomenon. Meet the tribe that lives their dreams"!
- Alex Grey, artist/author

Chai Baba Chai:
Our dear friend Rich makes a special return to the Groove Garden to serve up his delectable and famous chai, plus his inextricably delicious recipes for tongue tangling treats!

Massage maestro Al Chan and his delightful cadre of hands brings a professional touch to the tables in the chillspace.
