Hi Tribe amigos,
On April 26, I will be venturing up the coast to share in a beautiful evening of music, dance and spirit with some of the best world musicians in the west coast! I invite you all to celebrate with us, please read below for more info.
We are fundraisng for "Rhythms in Peace", a sound healing CD and DVD project that brings together Grammy -winning artists and other world class musicians with tribal musicians from around the world. Proceeds from this project will go to aid women musicians in developing countries (Morocco and Egypt). Rhythms in peace is currently raising money for the first phase of the journey which begins in August 2008, when we will travel to Morocco to record with the Houryarties (womens trance drumming group) as well as Berber and Gnawa musicians,
This special event will also feature a live DJ World remix Set from Six Degress Artist and Bay area local, Jef Stott ( who is a main collaborator in this project), in honor of his new release "Saracen". We will also have a beautiful sacred cheer from another bay area local group, the beloved Shamanic Cheerleaders.
