Chain Link Fences Prohibiting Access to Public Property?
Community Meeting
County Fair Building: 9th Ave at Lincoln Way
Thurs, July 23, 7pm
Thanks to SF Recreation and Park, Another Planet Entertainment will close about one third of GGP for about two weeks this summer: 21 Aug -- 3 Sept 2009.
With a helping hand also from Supervisors Mar, Mirkarimi, and Maxwell, APE will install miles of chain link fence which will stop you from following your routine (walking, sitting, running, biking, 太極拳, योग) in the Polo Fields, Speedway, Lindley, Marx, Little Speedway Meadows, and the adjacent areas.
If you are concerned about having your routine destroyed by APE for about 2 weeks this year and for 2 weeks during the summer of 2010-2013; the preservation of GGP as an open and accessible park; the displacement of the fauna and the destruction of the flora of GGP; the way Rec and Park and certain Supes are destroying the parks to save the parks (SF Charter: 4.113, 9.118); the intentionally deceptive usage of ``donation, benefit'', etc. by APE in re to The City's required fees; the establishment of park rules for the public and private sectors (e.g., public: no amplified sound; private: amplified sound); and other issues in re to the concert, e.g., the lengthening of the duration of the concert despite wide spread resident complaints, parking, public urination, etc. please speak up at the meeting above and/or call your supervisor: 554-5184; 554-5163 (fax); 554-5227 (TTY).
