That's Right Skaters,
San Francisco doesn't have a roller rink, so we decided to make one ourselves. We call it "Funkytown". Check out the info on the web at www.cora.org/FunkyTown.htm
Funkytown is the new off-playa home for the Black Rock Roller Disco. Come join the GodFather of Skating as we transform the gym at ISA High School into San Francisco's greatest roller rink. Be a part of the grand opening on Saturday, May 17, 2008. The party starts at 9:00 P.M. and we will roll until 1AM.
Funkytown is located at 1720 19th St. in San Francisco. This is near the intersection of 19th St. and Wisconsin. Come down the driveway and park near the gym. It's just that simple. There's plenty of parking, the wood floor is fantastic and the music is pumpin' hard with the old school funk, roller disco with other tunes adding to the flavor.
Are you having a birthday? Do you have a reason to celebrate? E-mail the Sk8GodFather and we'll give you a big shout out. We'll even do the Hokey-Pokey and the Cha Cha Slide in your honor. Bring your friends to Funkytown and let's all celebrate on wheels.
This is not just a one night thang. We are going to be doing skating here on a regular basis. If you want to keep up with the skate parties and skate happenings, join the SFSkaters E-mail list at www.sfskaters.org/public/html/page6.html We'll keep you up to speed with what's happening in skating.
Keep Rollin',
D. Miles Jr.
