Ladies, Gentlemen, and Pervs of all stripes,
It's our favorite, twisted tradition: Every New Year's Eve, we come together to be the first to have our new year's resolutions broken <grin> with a little help from our friends - and this, our sixth year, will be no different!.
Simply put, each attendee must choose a resolution outlining what they will not do or get in, in this case, 2009. That resolution is put on a card that is warn on a string necklace around their neck. It's a great icebreaker and a little window into the soul of each partygoer. It's just so easy to walk up to an interesting stranger and ask to see what's on their card. And, in many cases, friends help facilitate the breaking of those resolutions - either directly or through their superior matchmaking skills. The atmosphere is electric. The excitement is palpable! What could be more fun?!
If someone does help you break your resolution, your card becomes theirs. Those interested in the competition gather in the wee hours and the number of cards is compared. The person with the most cards has those cards read off and wins a free pass to all of sinFUSION's events for the following year, including the next Debaucherama!
While the prize is nice, most would say the journey's even nicer…
