Art Classes for Summer - 2012
New art classes will be starting June 25th most classes will meet at the Color Me Quilts and More classroom on Niles Blvd. but a few will be at my home studio. I have added a craft class for summer with projects like mosaics, jewelry and other crafts. In Summer I offer the 8-week art class in 4-week sessions to fit around vacations the dates class dates do not need to be taken consecutive order. I didn't post all the times and dates for the adult and teen classes as they seem to always be more by arrangement anyway. To find time and dates for the adult classes check the website or call me.
New Craft Class
Crafts – age 10 and up
Summer 2012 Wednesday 10:30 to 12:00
July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8, 15
This class is a for older students and adults interested in a trying several different crafts. Craft class projects include jewelry, mosaic, embroidery and other crafts. Supplies are provided, but students will need to bring a dust mask, safety glasses and gloves for mosaic project. Class will meet at my home studio. Class tuition for the 6-week class is $140.00 plus a supply fee of $45. Total of $185.00
Fine Art Class
Monday Classes meet June 25, July 9, 16, 23, 30 August 6 13 ,20
(No classes July 2nd.)
The shorter 4 week sessions can be arranged and dates do not need to be consecutive.
This is an all media art class students learn different methods of drawing, and painting and other art forms. The class also explores the use of texture, perspective and color theory to create finished works of art. Subjects include plants, animals, people and how to incorporate them in a background. All projects use professional-quality art materials, some of the materials to be used will be gouache, water-soluble pastels and fine art drawing pencils.
Class tuition for the 8-week class is $160.00 plus a supply fee of $35. Total of $195.00
First to Fourth Grade - Monday 3:30 to 4:30
Grades 5 and up - Monday 4:45 to 5:45

Drawing - adults & teens
Working from still-life, photographs and independent ideas, students will be introduced to drawing fundamentals and techniques including elements of line, composition, proportion, perspective, volume, light and shadow, value and texture. Students will learn how to record what they observe and the various ways in which the elements, principles of design and composition can be used to create an expressive work of art..
4-week one hour class
No supply fee: Students need to bring in art materials for the project.
A senior discount of 10% is available for adult/ teen classes for anyone over 55.
Four one-hour classes $48

Painting
This class is small and customized to the interest of the students who wish to explore different paints and techniques. The class uses watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paints
6 week one-hour class
Six one-hour classes Cost $68
No supply fee: Students need to bring in art materials for the project.
Or if you wish to use class materials add a materials fee of $30
Acrylic Painting
This course will focus on the fundamentals of using artist acrylic paint. Class size is limited to allow for individual instruction each student will work on projects of choice.
4-week two-hour class $79
No supply fee: Students need to bring in art materials for the project.

Mosaic Class - adults & teens
4-week two hour class Wednesdays 1-3 pm or 6:30- 8:30 pm
The class will focus on learning about the materials and the techniques that will be used to design and create your own project. Some of the techniques covered include, cutting glass for mosaic, controlling ceramic breaks, working with cement and how to prep the objects for mosaic. Tile adhesive and grout for the first project supplied but students need to bring art materials for other projects. Please register in advance for supply list. This class meets at my home studio in Fremont.
4-week two hour class $79 plus a supply fee of $5. Total of $84.00
